Recent Deliveries – March 2020

Last month took an interesting turn as Covid-19 spread around the globe. Nevertheless, we still managed some major trailer deliveries for our customers, who are essential to keeping Australia supplied and safe during this unprecedented time. Here are our top three trailers from the last month.

South East Queensland Hauliers

Normally a brand-new Drake 4×4 Full Widener is the hero shot any day of the week, but not today. South East Queensland Hauliers collected their new trailer with their Limited-Edition Mack Super-Liner produced to celebrate 100 years of Mack in Australia. Combined with her new Drake, this combo is out of this world.

Even though our 4X4 Full Widener trailer range has had quite a few upgrades over the years, it has remained our most in-demand trailer since its inception over 50 years ago. It features incredible stability, hydraulic suspension on all models and comes in 3X4 and 4X4 tyre configurations.

Ballina Shire Council

Ballina Shire Council’s new Drake 3X4 Full Widener weighed in at a mere 12 tonne, giving them a legal payload capacity of approximately 30 tonnes. It’s the ideal trailer for all of their infrastructure and council works, offering them the ability to move through their projects quickly and safely. The Full Widener transport trailer is strong, stable and light tare – everyone’s got to be happy with that.

T & G Kelly Couriers Pty Ltd

T & G Kelly Couriers are known in the NSW Highlands for their impeccable service and ability to go the extra mile to make their customers happy. What you may not also know is that Tony Kelly is a massive Johnny Cash fan, hence the “Folsom Prison” design on his truck. Their new Drake 5X8 Swingwing trailer comes complete with extra wide ramps, stainless steel hydraulic tubing, hydraulic controlled ramps, 5.5hp pull-start hydraulic power pack and lockable tool boxes. The trailer is available in 3×8, 4×8 and 5×8 tyre configurations to handle larger loads and can be customised further for heavier or bulkier loads.

Venice Pty Ltd

Venice Pty Ltd will be celebrating 60 years in operation in 2020 and they’re entering their silver years in style with a new Drake 3X4 Deck Widener. In their industry of civil contracting, keeping a tidy fleet that’s reliable and modern is key to ensuring equipment is delivered and projects run to schedule. Their Deck Widener has a proven reliability for completing the most demanding of tasks, with a carrying capacity of 35-50 tonnes and 2.5-3.5 metre widening.

Corbet’s Group

Our final delivery is a familiar face. Old friend to The Drake Group, Andrew Corbet from Corbet’s Group, picked up their new 4X4 Full Widener. This trailer combined beautifully with his Kenworth T900 Legend Truck – The Last One – and will make an eye-catching display as it travels back to home base in Gympie.
